I have to admit, I love love love my coffee! I do have a couple of alternatives to coffee so I thought I would share my favorites. These are super simple and you only need a couple of ingredients. The first recipe is dairy, soy, and gluten free. Even though I'm not really a tea drinker, I like the flavors together and it smells great!
You will need:
1 packet (tea bag) organic chai tea
1 6.5 fl oz vanilla coconut milk
about 1/2 cup of hot water
Regardless of the size of my cup or mug I fill it about halfway with tea, then I add the coconut milk and heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds to heat it altogether. It equates to about 1 part hot tea to 2 parts coconut milk. This is so yummy!
I also make another variation of this because I like vanilla protein drinks. I substitute the coconut milk with a vanilla protein shake. Heat this at a lower heat because some of the protein shakes will curdle if you heat them too quickly. When I don't have time for breakfast, this is a perfect choice!
